Request

Good Afternoon:

We have a request for prayer:

  • My mom was in a bad accident this past Wednesday. She has several broken ribs, injured spleen, lung, and kidney. She was in ICU for a couple of days, moved to the floor and released Saturday. We were settling her in at home when we about lost her! She had no pulse, not breathing and we couldn't get a blood pressure. The paramedics came and took her back to the hospital. When we arrived at the hospital, they found her chest cavity full of blood. One of her broken ribs had cut an artery and caused her chest cavity to fill with blood. They have her back in ICU with a chest tube and have given her 3 units of blood. Things are looking positive again but, none of us wants to leave her side. We are all working a shift to try and be with her as much as possible. I just left the hospital and the doctor came by and said he was moving her to a floor room. He will observe her closely to make sure that it doesn't happen again. Thank you for all of your friendships and know that every prayer has been felt and I know that they will increase by letting my "family in Perryton" know. You guys are great!

Requests

Good Afternoon:

We have one request this afternoon:

  • I would ask that you pray for healing for my right eye.  I am having an allergic reaction to the injections they are giving me for the blood flow in my eye and it is causing slight pain and my vision loss and I am seeing only shadows as of now.  I know that will get better now that we know what is causing it.  God has given me hope because they think they know what is going on there, but If God so desires, I would welcome complete healing in my right eye.  Thank you prayer warriors for all you do for all the people needing a touch from God.  Rita Tregellas

You are my portion, O Lord; I have promised to obey your words.

I have sought your face with all my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise.

I have considered my ways and have turned my steps to your statutes.

I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands.

Though the wicked bind me with ropes, I will not forget your law.

At midnight I rise to give you thanks for your righteous laws.

I am a friend to all who fear you, to all who follow your precepts.

The earth is filled with your love, O Lord; teach me your decrees.

Psalm 119:57-64

Bella  (daughter of Allison) was having surgery this afternoon to have a shunt put in.

Thank you for your prayers!

Praises and Requests

Good Afternoon:

We have a praise report and some requests:

  • Prayer team I just want to let you know how much you are thought of and prayed for. You all are on the front lines, and what you do is helping more people then we realize.

We haven't had a meeting in a long time, but I will reach all of you through email. You can email me any time if you have any questions or concerns. (kenw@ptsi.net), or call at 806 202 3159.

My main purpose is to just encourage you. Many people are counting on the prayers that you all do each day. I praise God for your concern for all people

One piece of business. We have only 2-3 people caring out all the work. We could use a volunteer or two to help get the request out. It would be nice if we could get enough that we would only need you for 1-2 weeks per month. The system is much easier to do, and will probably only take about 15 minutes. Please let me know if you would be willing to volunteer. You can call me, Judy Collins, and of course Gayla at the bookstore.

One more thing. Thanks to all of you praying at the prayer center during service, and being up front to pray with people. You may not realize just what all you are doing for God.

God bless all of you, and thanks for being faithful,
    Ken Wooster
  • Barbara Sunday will be having gallbladder surgery Monday at 8:00 a.m. in Pampa.  Please pray for her, her family and the doctors.

·        Please pray for Wanda and Neal Davis as they travel to OKC to see her brother Marvin who is suffering from leukemia.  He is in ICU and is on a respirator.  They request prayers for Marvin and his family during this time as they make decisions.

How lovely is your dwelling place,

 O LORD Almighty!

My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young-- a place near your altar, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God.

Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.

Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.

As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.

They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.

Hear my prayer, O LORD God Almighty; listen to me, O God of Jacob.

Look upon our shield, O God; look with favor on your anointed one.

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you.

Psalm 84

Requests

Good Afternoon:

We have some requests for prayer:

  • Roy Kerns’ sister, June Wright, passed away and her funeral will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ.  Please pray for comfort for this family.
  • I'm going to try something new this year and ask for prayer as I present my next unit to my Personal and Family Development classes. These classes are freshmen classes. I have three classes with 46 students in them. They are 2nd, 4th, and 5th hours.

I will be presenting a unit over Relationships. During this unit I stress, as best I can, for the students to remain abstinent until marriage, that sex does not equal love and vice versa, warning signs for abusive relationships, and the qualities (fruits of the spirit) to look for in a future mate. I pull in a variety of activities to get my point across. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't.

These classes have many sweet kiddos in them. This is the first time in a long time that the majority of my freshmen are Christians. I want to encourage their Christian walk and hopefully ease any peer pressure they may be feeling.

I will be covering this unit from now until the first week in October.

    Thank you!!

    Stacey Tanner

  • Hello,

I know some of you heard the interview and some didn't.  Thank you so much for your prayers and caring!!  I am so blessed.

I could tell so many of you were praying!  I felt calm and like God was answering your prayers for me.  It was a joy to me to talk about Tim and to share that Jesus Christ is our only hope through tough times.  Not having heard the interview myself yet, that is about all I can report.  : )

What a blessing to know that Tim is in heaven with our Lord, and that he was ready to go.  He knew Jesus and walked the talk.  Of course, I do miss him.  It hits at different times and with different memories.  But God is faithful, He is near, and He surrounds me with His love constantly!  Many times through all of you.  Thank you!!

I am blessed by all of you!

    Love,
Tina   (Tina’s interview can be heard on http://www.highplainsobserverperryton.com/ )

We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers.  We continually remember before our god and father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.  1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

Requests and Updates

Good Evening;

We have a request and update:

  • Hello Everyone,

I just got a call from one of local radio stations asking for an interview tomorrow morning, Tuesday, September 8th, 9:15 a.m.   I will be interviewed about the National Bible Bee contest coming up on Saturday, but then they have also asked me to give my testimony concerning God's faithfulness during these days after losing Tim.  What an honor to get to share!  However, I will need lots of prayer covering for I'm already crying thinking about doing it.  I want to glorify the Lord and to direct people to Him and His faithfulness.

This is a country music station, but the owner and manager is a Christian who loves to encourage people towards the Lord.  I am thankful for this opportunity.

I cherish prayers for tomorrow morning.  I have found the station online and you, should you choose, may be able to listen live to the interview.  It is at:  http://www.kxdjradio.com/

I'll try to give you a report afterwards.  I'll be in town all day tomorrow planning for the bee.

    Love,
    Tina (Buschman)
