Requests

Good Afternoon:

We have a pray need today:

  • Please pray for Rose Wilson, who will be starting an aggressive chemotherapy on Monday.  Pray for strength and that this will not make her sick.

“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High

 will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

This I declare of the LORD:

He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;

 he is my God, and I am trusting him.

 For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from the fatal plague.

He will shield you with his wings.

He will shelter you with his feathers.

His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,

nor fear the dangers of the day,

 nor dread the plague that stalks in darkness,

 nor the disaster that strikes at midday.

Though a thousand fall at your side,

though ten thousand are dying around you,

these evils will not touch you.

But you will see it with your eyes;

you will see how the wicked are punished.

If you make the LORD your refuge,

if you make the Most High your shelter,

no evil will conquer you;

no plague will come near your dwelling.

 For he orders his angels to protect you wherever you go.

 They will hold you with their hands to keep you from striking your foot on a stone.

 You will trample down lions and poisonous snakes;

you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!

The LORD says, "I will rescue those who love me.

I will protect those who trust in my name.

When they call on me, I will answer;

I will be with them in trouble.

I will rescue them and honor them.

I will satisfy them with a long life and give them my salvation."

Psalm 91

  • Please pray for Bella Cortez who has heart problems and twisted intestines, that she will get stronger in order to have surgery to correct these health issues.  Please also pray for her mom, Allison who is under a lot of stress taking care of this precious baby.

Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

How lovely is your dwelling place,

  O Lord Almighty!

My soul yearns, even faints,

   For the courts of the Lord;

 My heart and my flesh cry out

   For the living God.

O Lord Almighty,

   Blessed is the man who trusts in you.

Requests

Good Afternoon:

We have several requests to pray for:

  • Christy and Tracy Farthing—Mary Carmen’s daughter and son in-law—need prayer for their family and their church.
  • Chris and Cassie Lawson, Pastor Tim’s daughter and son in-law, Chris’ grandmother passed away yesterday.  Please pray for the family and for Chris and Cassie as they travel to North Carolina.
  • Please pray for VBS—the children who will be coming, all the workers and staff, the weather, and most importantly, that God’s message will be delivered and all honor and glory will go to HIM!

When Jesus saw this, he was indignant.  He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.  I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”  And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
