• Please pray for Penny Land and her family.  Her uncle, Wendell passed away.  Also her mother, Teresa Reydon had a heart attack, and needs by pass surgery.  At this time, surgery can not be performed.

• Please pray for Joe Bohn, Kevin and Lois Bohn’s brother.  He and two of his co-workers were involved in a rollover accident yesterday.  Joe was air flighted to Lubbock with serious injuries and one worker was air flighted to Amarillo and the third was taken by ambulance to Amarillo.  Please pray for recovery for all three men.

• Please pray for 8 year old Caden.  He had an accident involving his eye and has had one surgery and may have a second to save the sight in his eye.

• I received a call this morning from Darla Mounts asking us to pray for her son, Mike Huffman.  He will be having his 3^rd surgery to remove melanoma cancer from his body.  This is a very serious surgery and the worst he will have endured.  Please lift Mike to the Lord for His healing touch and for guidance of the doctor’s hands.  Also, pray for Darla as she travels to Arkansas to be with him.  Pastor Tim

·       PRAISE--All is good on my follow up test. They are pretty sure it is just shadows because it is there in one shot but not in another. Just told me to let them know if I have any changes. Thank you for all your prayers! God is Great!!! Sherry Bullard

• Please pray for Tyler and his dad, Tim.  They can’t seem to agree and are in constant battle.  Tyler moved out of their home and lives in his car.  He needs to turn his life around.
• I need prayer for my faith.  I’ve lost it and its been three full years but I’m finally starting to restore it.  I don’t come to this church nor do I plan on it, but its 11:00 p.m. and I didn’t know where else to go.  I wish to remain anonymous but please pray for me.  (This note was left on the pray center desk.)
• Margie’s niece, Shelly, is a teacher in a Christian School in Indiana that is supposed to begin classes on Wednesday.  Last night she learned of one of her student’s death.  His name was Brayden and he was going to begin the 2^nd grade and was killed in an ATV accident.  This little boy’s parents do not know the Lord and this situation is so painful for Shelly as she has taught this young boy and ministered to him at their church since he was in pre-K.  Please pray for Shelly and her husband as they minister to this family as well as Brayden’s family.  Thank you all for your prayers.  Pastor Tim

Good Afternoon:

We have several requests:

·        Please pray for David Gift and family. David's mother Margaret Gift passed away last night, August 2, 2011.

·        Please pray for my uncle.  He had been sick and went to the doctor and when they did x-rays they found a spot on his lungs.  He goes tomorrow (Wednesday) for a MRI to see what is going on.  They think there is a possibility it could be cancer.  Please pray that it is not and that God will heal him no matter what it is.  Thank you! ·        8 year old Manuel Marquez from Turpin, OK was diagnosed with leukemia last month. They just learned that it has spread & he needs a bone marrow transplant. This is difficult on the whole family, but while his parents are taking care of Manuel, 19 year old Mariela is taking care of the rest of the kids. Please pray for this family.

·        Please continue to pray for VBS.  God is doing great things!!!

Prayer Requests

Please continue to pray for Ty.  He is miserable in his lifestyle, sees no hope, and needs the Lord's grace and mercy to pour out on him that he might turn from his addiction and trust completely in Christ.

 

Annette Moore has had a stoke and is in the hospital in Ft. Worth.

 

Kayden – 3 year old girl in Lubbock has a malignant tumor in her kidney.  She will have Chemo and then surgery

Also, remember VBS that starts this evening.  Praying for lots of kids, cool weather and rain would be good as well.
